THANK YOU

for 60 years in business

From modest beginnings of four original engineering partners in 1962, to over 230 employees serving clients across the nation today, Progressive AE has enjoyed growth and prosperity through the years – and we are grateful. Such longevity is proof of dedicated, creative, and forward-thinking employees backed by exceptional clients, and growing communities. It is an honor and privilege to work alongside our client partners to help advance their vision for the future, and collaboratively shape the places we live, work, and play.

Our roots run deep in West Michigan with a long history working on dynamic, complex, and impactful projects. In 2016, we expanded our reach to Charlotte, NC where we onboarded the local firm, ai Design Group, as part of the Progressive AE family. This merger was an integral part of our 60-year journey, and we are grateful to be part of Charlotte’s vibrant architecture and engineering community.

Progressive AE has always thrived on an entrepreneurial spirit. As an employee-owned company, our workforce strives to represent the firm’s values of leadership, learning, trust, and diversity, all while working creatively and collaboratively to serve clients and have fun doing it. At the end of the day, the best design is about improving people’s lives, and the firm is grateful to be part of so many client journeys that have served people and communities well.

We look forward to continuing to serve clients in the Midwest, Southeast, and across the nation for many years to come.

WE ARE GRATEFUL

Thank you to our clients and partners for the chance to be part of so many incredible projects over the years. We have been honored to help bring your visions to life.

Current President and CEO Bradley Thomas recently sat down with former President and CEO Ray Fix to reminisce on challenges and successes over the firm's 60 year history.

A community campaign, “60 Ways to Say Thank You,” is planned for Progressive AE employees to give back to their local communities in Grand Rapids, MI and Charlotte, NC each month of this year.

The firm kicked off the campaign in April by participating in Earth Day through a tree-planting event in Charlotte and collecting 60 bags of trash from community parks and neighborhoods in both offices.

Other scheduled events include a walk/bike/ride wellness charity drive in May, scheduled volunteer service days in June, and a school supply drive in August.
